The dance performance AWAITING RESONANCE with dancers Kaja and Ivan is a piece of dance for dance. It is about the search for dance, the search of its origin. It’s a dance performance about the yet unborn dance.
The dancers Kaja and Ivan are waiting for the perfect moment for their bodies to step together into the dancing field. With waiting, listening, echoing (in the other), with sounding (in the other), their bodies try to create the perfect instance. The dancer Kaja with her dance body and the dancer Ivan with his dance body are constantly returning to the point before dance in search for the source of dance; starting all over again, detaining, repeating, causing and cursing: the curs of the dance is a word, it is a discussion, a thought of the word and is the sense of the discussion, that abolishes the thought and sense of dance.

Kaja Lorenci is a dancer and choreographer. In 2006 she graduated from SEAD. She collaborated with numerous choreographers. She teaches contemporary dance technique, movement workshop and the art of movement at the Umetniška gimnazija Ljubljana (The Artistic Gymnasium in Ljubljana).

Ivan Mijačević is a dancer and musician. In 2008 he graduated from SEAD. In the last 14 years he collaborated in more than 60 projects all over the globe, together with local and international artists. Some of them were even rewarded.
